Kim Sharma was born and raised in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. She studied at a boarding school in Panchgani. After completing her schooling up to 12th standard, she decided not to pursue college education.

During a visit to Delhi, she auditioned for a close-up advertisement and was selected. This opportunity opened doors for her in the modeling industry, and she went on to feature in advertisements for popular brands like Sunsilk, Fair & Lovely, and Pepsi.

Career

Kim made her big-screen debut in Mohabbatein (2000), directed by Aditya Chopra, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. The film was a massive commercial success and earned her the International Indian Film Academy Award (2001) for Best Female Debut.
