Sara Arjun (born 18 June 2005) is an Indian actress who works in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam films. She began her career as a child actor and became popular for her natural acting style and emotional performances. She is the daughter of actor Raj Arjun. Before turning six, she had already worked in many commercials and a short film. She gained wide recognition with her role as Nila in the Tamil drama Deiva Thirumagal (2011), which received major critical and commercial success.

Over the years, Sara has appeared in several successful films and continues to grow as a young actress in the Indian film industry.

Early Life

Sara Arjun was born in Mumbai and grew up in a creative environment. Her father, Raj Arjun, is a film actor, and her mother, Sanya Arjun, is a dance teacher. Her training in dance also began at a young age, and she learned multiple dance forms including Kathak and Hip-Hop.

Sara entered the entertainment industry very early. At 1.5 years old, she was offered her first advertisement when she was spotted at a shopping mall with her parents. Soon, she appeared in more than 100 commercials for brands like McDonald’s, LIC Housing Finance, Kalyan Jewellers, and Maggi Healthy Soups.

Acting Career

Early Career

At the age of two, Sara shot a commercial with director A. L. Vijay, but he lost contact with her family. Later, in 2010, after meeting them again, Vijay cast Sara in his Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal (2011). She played Nila, the daughter of a mentally challenged man (played by Vikram).

Her performance became one of the most praised child roles in Indian cinema. Critics described her as “charm personified” and “the heart of the film.”

Sara was very dedicated during the shoot. She learned her Tamil dialogues with the help of a family friend, and even memorized Vikram’s lines to assist him on set.

Around this time, she also acted in the Hindi short film Tomorrow, which did not receive a theatrical release.
