Kamiya Jani's Early Life & Career
Kamiya Jani started her career in journalism with The Times of India in February 2006. A few months later, she moved to CNBC TV18 as a Correspondent and Sub-editor, where she worked for nearly two months.
In February 2008, Kamiya joined Bloomberg UTV as an Anchor and Associate Producer. She spent the next two years hosting and producing shows related to lifestyle, travel, and entertainment.
In February 2010, she took on the role of a Financial Market Anchor at ET Now and also worked as a Travel Anchor for MagicBricks Now.
Even though she had a stable and well-paying job, Kamiya decided to quit. In an interview, she shared:
“I got bored with the same routine — waking up at 5 AM every day for the TV show. I wanted to do something more exciting and meaningful.”
That’s when she took a bold step and started Curly Tales. She felt there weren’t enough platforms focused on local travel, food, and experiences, so she poured all her time and energy into building one.
