Shiny Doshi was born on 15 September 1989 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, into a Gujarati Hindu family. She completed her education in Ahmedabad and initially pursued Biotechnology, but later dropped out to follow her passion for fashion designing. Shiny studied Fashion Designing at the National Institute of Fashion Designing, Ahmedabad.

Before entering the television industry, she explored modeling and worked extensively in print shoots and television commercials.

Shiny Doshi began her professional journey as a model in 2011. She walked the ramp for multiple fashion events and appeared in several television commercials. Her most recognized TV commercial was for a soap brand opposite Saif Ali Khan, which brought her nationwide recognition and opened doors to television acting.

Shiny Doshi made her acting debut in 2013 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s television show Saraswatichandra, where she portrayed Kusum Desai Vyas. Her performance earned her critical acclaim and an Indian Telly Award nomination for Fresh New Face – Female.

From 2015 to 2016, she played Sarojini Somendra Singh in Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal, which further strengthened her position as a lead actress.
